Here at Smoky Creek Shepherds, we have been raising German Shepherds for over 25 years. We noticed over time that good looking German Shepherds were few and far between. After some thought and constant prodding from friends and GSD enthusiasts who wanted a Shepherd that "looked like ours", we decided to begin breeding our shepherds and prodviding stud services. While our operation may have expanded, our dedication to raising beautiful shepherds has remained the same. All of our breeding shepherds come from wonderful bloodlines and demonstrate all the characteristics that we believe make up a good shepherd.
German Shepherds are some of the smartest dogs around. There's a reason why the military and police commonly use this breed. They are here to please and please they do. From scent-tracking and proctection work, to playing ball and tug-of-war; our German Shepherds go above and beyond to exceed! The reason for this is that we never cut corners or breed any dogs that have shown ANY health or genetic problems. This means that none of our shepherds have ever had any form of hip or skin problems, which means that the chances of any Smoky Creek Puppy having these problems are dramatically reduced.
Our goal as a breeder is to provide other German Shepherd enthusiasts with a puppy they're proud to have. Our dogs are our friends, our family, and our partners-in-crime (or against crime!).
